Just finished this in time for Valentines Day coming up Monday. Its starts out with a 90s R&B vibe then moves to more uptempo with a little house, disco and electro.

As somebody else put it “Montreal prodigy Jacques Greene, known for his releases on excellent labels Night Slugs and LuckyMe… is single-handedly buiding the proverbial bridge between true skool house aficionados and UK-obsessed garage heads…”
Honestly, I think that’s an apt description I don’t really feel the need to add to it.
Check this video for the upcoming RBMA “Destination Tokyo” tour to see the man in action.

This is a little promo video for “Chrysalis Records” (feat. Trust) by our hero Egyptrixx. The video is by Eva Michon of Toronto and Badday Magazine (http://www.ghostdiamond.com/). Egyptrixx’s debut album “Bible Eyes” will be out on Night Slugs in March 8th. Keep checking back here at underdogtoronto.com as this young pharoah of Toronto will be bequeathing us with good things to give out to celebrate its release.
Leading up to the Galapagos/LuckyMe showcase this Saturday, I decided to do a quick snapshot of each of the acts performing as an introduction for those not familiar, and to set the tone for those who are.
First up: ANGO. We are so fortunate to have this guy added to the bill as he just happens to be in town. The label had this to say about his recent mixtape:
Andrew Gordon Mcpherson aka ANGO delivers one of the most satisfying RnB selections of the year, just sneaking-her-in for the final week. This tape is all smiles. Can’t wait to hear what 2011 holds for him as he gears up with a debut record and very likely a host of other releases and remixes with fellow labels. Keep an eye on ANGO, cause his electronic soul music tinged with hip hop, house and disco might well offer an overdue alternative to the reverb’d swathes of melancholy that defined 2010.
