This Friday, Galapagos is pleased to present London’s Girl Unit (in his Canadian debut) alongside Night Slugs luminaries Bok Bok and Kingdom.
Girl Unit recently did a 50 minute live mix for Boiler Room a DJ/performance video series described by The Fader as “an extension, or even evolution, of London’s rich pirate radio culture. A small, sweaty room. Great DJs. The odd live performance. Red Stripe. Rum.”

New mixtape from The Stencil from the Caps half of DJ duo Caps N Jones in the non-dance music lane. Your older sister will probably like this a lot and i don’t mean that in a bad way.
Here’s the blurb that came along with it:
Me and Finny put together a mix over the past couple weeks for fun. It’s a collection of songs that both of us are interested in, or have loved forever, or have loved lately. I’m real happy to finally get some of these on a tape. Plus I love the pace of this—the tape is an hour long because we wanted to let things play. We have plenty of time to play b-sides. Plus look at the cover art!

Incredible new mixtape from Om Unit for LuckyMe.
No tracklist yet but let’s just say Paul Simon makes an appearance. Not a very good description really, but i thought it was worth mentioning anyway.
We were lucky enough to have global bass proponent Uproot Andy at our Nuff Said party in November of last year and dude tore it up. I met Andy 10 years ago by fluke completely outside the ‘industry’, and it’s nice to see those six degrees overlap when awesome fucking music is involved.
Between working on his debut album and DJ gigs all over Latin America, he found time to drop this mix for XLR8R which sums up his sound quite nicely.

A rare down-tempo remix from our besties; the infamous Nacho Lovers, of Korallrevan‘s “Honey Mine”.
